In 2001, Tim Avila set out to create an all natural, zero-calorie sweetener using erythritol, a little-known sugar alcohol which had been popular in Japan for some time. Four years later, in 2005, we successfully launched it as our new brand, Zsweet™.

Zsweet™ has continued to gain media and consumer attention. Well positioned as a category pioneer, Zsweet™ is the first healthy sweetener that actually tastes sweet with no aftertaste—truly a "no worries" food.

In mid 2006, Zsweet™ introduced single serving packets and was picked up by national health food chain, Whole Foods Market, for their Southwest region of stores and continues to add new retailers every day.
